Grant Oppourtnity for Artists & Art Organizations

Through Tuesday, March 28, 2023

Grant applications are being sought for the 2023 Statewide Community Regrants (SCR) Program from arts organizations, other nonprofits, municipalities, tribal organizations, artist collectives, individual artists requesting support for the creation of new work, and teaching artists interested in presenting projects in schools, after school or at community-based learning centers such as public libraries.

As the SCR site for the Adirondack (ADK) Quad-County region of Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton counties, the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts (ALCA) is pleased to receive proposals for grant awards of up to $5,000 in two categories—Community Arts and Arts Education—and for arts-creation commissions of $2,500 in the revived category of Individual Artist grants, which have not been offered in the region in approximately a decade.

The application deadline for all three categories is Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Prospective applicants are required to read the SCR guidelines, which can be downloaded from the ALCA website at adirondackarts.org/current-scr-grant-cycle. Applicants who did not apply for either a 2021 Decentralization (DEC) grant or 2022 SCR funding should then email grant coordinator Fred Balzac, at fred@adirondackarts.org to schedule an individual consultation by phone or attendance at a grant-application seminar or to learn more about any aspect of the SCR Program. More info is also available in the grants section of the ALCA website.

Please note:

The Town of North Elba is able to act as a fiscal sponsor for projects within the town. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out.
