Background:
The Lake Placid / North Elba Development Commission was created by the Village of Lake Placid and Town of North Elba municipal boards in August of 2014. The purpose of the Commission is to facilitate the implementation of the Lake Placid /North Elba Comprehensive Plan. The Commission can also serve in an advisory capacity to the Town Board, Village Board, or Joint Review Board as requested.
The Development Commission undertakes any number of projects related to the Comprehensive Plan through either one of its standing committees or ad hoc committees.

Meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month in the North Elba Town Hall third floor conference room at 8 am. Meetings are open to the public and the Development Commission welcomes any level of commitment, input, or ideas. Join in person or virtually at the following link:
